Tasting Notes

  • Nose – On the initial nose, I got strong notes of oak and brown spice. However, after letting it rest, the nose softened, opening up to buttery toast and hints of stone fruit.

  • Palate – This pour is wonderfully complex, with flavors of cherry, cinnamon, and oak. It’s very welcoming and delicious.

  • Finish – The finish is dry, similar to a good red wine, lingering on the tongue and leaving you craving another sip.

  • Overall – I overpaid for this Store Pick but honestly this bottle is fantastic. I’m already halfway through the bottle as it’s become my go-to pour for the last two weeks. For me, it was definitely worth the buy especially since I got to support my local store!
