Tasting Notes

  • Nose - The nose sweet and inviting, with dried cherries, vanilla, and just a touch of chocolate. It’s like opening a box of chocolate-covered cherries—rich, simple, and nostalgic.

  • Palate – The cherry notes carry through to the palate, delivering a fruit-forward sip that is very enjoyable. Sweet flavors of brown sugar and caramel join the mix, balanced by subtle hints of oak and leather for added depth and complexity.

  • Finish – he finish is long, warm, and sweet, delivering that classic Kentucky hug. Rich oak notes dominate, leaving the perfect bourbon finish.

  • Overall – Sweet, Fruity, and Oaky.

Food Pairing - Cheesecake

Nav’s Personal Thoughts – I was initially hesitant to purchase this bottle due to its price—over $100 for an 8-year bourbon. However, I’m so glad I took the leap because this is a fantastic pour. It delivers everything I’m looking for when I want a bourbon to pair with dessert. The rich notes of cherry, vanilla, and chocolate make it the perfect pairing with cheesecake. This is a pour I’ll be reaching for anytime I want to end the night on a sweet and satisfying note.
