Tasting Notes

• Nose - The nose is sweet and inviting, with rich notes of molasses and a hint of mint. It instantly reminds me of fresh molasses cookies, warm and comforting.

• Palate – The palate is really pleasant, sweet, and smooth. I’m getting flavors of maple, cinnamon, and vanilla, all blending together in a way that’s reminiscent of maple syrup. It’s got a rich, almost syrupy feel, but it’s not overpowering—just really well-balanced.

• Finish – he finish is dry yet lingering, with the sweet notes holding on until the very end. A subtle hint of leather adds depth, making it a finish that sticks around and invites you back for another sip.

• Overall – Sweet and Full Bodied.

Food Pairing - French Toast

Nav’s Personal Thoughts – This was a Single Barrel Pick by fellow bourbon enthusiast, The Whiskey Fly, and he absolutely nailed it. The wheated bourbon was finished in a second Georgia white oak barrel, resulting in a sweet, syrupy pour that's incredibly smooth. The rich maple, cinnamon, and vanilla notes make it the perfect match for French toast. I’d love to mix the pour into some maple syrup and drizzle it all over the toast—taking breakfast to the next level.
